Funding Application
The Broken Hill Enterprise Development Centre are undertaking many activities to assist the business sector.
The EDC, FWRDB and YES have collaborated to apply for funding in the Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business. The focus of this funding contract is on financial management which always seem to be a concern to any business owner. The application is focusing on some of the following:
- Financial management training including a focus on financial packages and intense training on these over 2 years for a small cost
- Goodwill and how to calculate it. How to sell your business at its actual value
- Steps to keeping your business in ship shape: ie how not to overstock, how to correctly keep back office info
- Cash flows, budgets and how to keep the cash flowing
- Leasing and accessing capital
- The importance of professionals in your business
- Benchmarking figures. What are they? What do they do? How do I use them?
We were successful with this funding application! The financial management project will begin early 2008 and will run for 2 years. For more information contact the EDC.
