Who we are...
The Broken Hill Enterprise Development Centre has been established since 1995. The services provided by Broken Hill Enterprise Development Centre Inc are partially funded by the Australian Government. During this time the organisation has helped businesses start up and stay established. The centre is funded through the Department of State and Regional Development to offer the Far Western Business Advisory Service.
This contract aims to offer
business guidance and support to new and existing businesses as well as offer workshops and training to businesses.
What we do...
The Centre’s main role is to offer the Far Western Business Advisory Service. Some of the projects which the Centre has undertaken include:
- Supporting Women in Business by bringing to the region the Women in Business program.
- Offering a business incubator for people wishing to either move out of their home based business or for people wishing to start businesses who have a need for office space.
- Assisting with Home Based Business Week and Small Business September events for the community, to help sustain economic development in the region.
- Assisting businesses in the region with business management issues including assistance with financials, visiting accountants, solicitors and bank managers with clients and referring the client to other business advisers and areas of need within the business.

We offer a large range of small business training workshops which help you correctly manage your business. Some of these include record keeping procedures, cash flow management, legal issues, home based business and financial statements. There is also a course designed specifically for people looking at starting a business which covers all of the areas that need to be addressed. A must for new people entering into business
